It's cold out there. And this February, I'm going to do something about it. Together with thousands of Canadians across the country, I'll be walking and fundraising to support people and families experiencing hurt, hunger, and homelessness in my community. I am walking to support the important work of First United Church Community Ministry Society. They provide a helping hand to so many in need with tax returns, warm meals from their food truck, spiritual care, foot care, items from the community help desk, an address for mail, shelter beds and more. Their current redevelopment project and partnership with Lu'ma Native Housing Society has so many meaningful features including 100 units of below market rental housing for Indigneous Peoples on the Downtown Eastside and four floors of community services.
