My CNO-WHY...
<br>
In 2018, my life had fallen apart because of my addiction. I was homeless, hurting, and in drug-induced psychosis. I didn’t realize until much later, but I had used Capital City Mission one afternoon to stay warm and as a place to rest. Not long after, I found myself at the doors of Jericho Road’s Discipleship House.

Jericho Road allowed me to rebuild. It was a place where I could heal, grow, and learn—sometimes through tough lessons but always with support. After graduating, they offered me an internship that eventually became a full-time role as their Media, Communications, and Administration Coordinator.

One afternoon, with then-Executive Director Hope, I was at Capital City Mission’s Drop-In for Jericho Road business regarding the Coldest Night of the Year. It was at that moment that I realized I had used CCM before, and it gave me gratitude to know how much both organizations have played a role in my recovery journey.

Walking in CNOY is one way to give back to the organizations that helped me when I needed it most. Both Jericho Road and Capital City Mission provide critical care and support to vulnerable people in Ottawa, and fundraising for this event is a small way to ensure others have access to the same help I received.

I would appreciate your support. Whether you donate, share my page, or encourage others to get involved, every bit helps.

Together, we can make a real impact.
