It's cold out there. And this February, I'm going to do something about it. Together with thousands of Canadians across the country, I'll be once again walking and fundraising to support people and families experiencing hurt, hunger, and homelessness in my community. Specifically, I'm walking and fundraising for the The Refuge in Oshawa which is an amazing place where I have spent time volunteering in the past and seen firsthand the wonderful ways donations support people in Durham Region. Since 1999, The Refuge has been working with youth who are experiencing homelessness or are at-risk of experiencing homelessness, or who are struggling. More than just a place to find breakfast, lunch, showers, laundry facilities, access to clothing and personal hygiene products, as well as housing help, The Refuge is a place where youth can find community, safety, belonging and a renewed hope for their future.  Please, give what you can by clicking the "Donate Now" button above.
