Dear Friends and Family,
This is the fourth year that our family has been part of the Coldest Night of the Year fundraiser. We began when Asher was seven and now he is ten! On February 22nd we will be joining with Canadians across our country to raise funds for people experiencing hunger, hurt and homelessness. In Nanaimo, funds raised go to the Island Crisis Care Society.
This note is from our family as a whole. Although we each have to register separately, we fundraise together. We love that as a family, including Asher , we can be a part of lending a hand to those in need in our community. This year we will again do the 5 km walk.
For our family fundraising, please direct any messages or donations to Asher’s page via the link at the bottom of this message. On that page there is a donate button if you wish to make a donation by credit card. There is also another note about how to donate by cash or cheque.
In every year that we have participated, Asher has been thrilled to earn 1 K badges, as over $1000 had been raised via his donation page – thanks to the amazing support of many friends and family members. This year the starting goal on Asher’s page is set at $400, but as in past years we will happily revise it if donations make that possible! 😊
We thank those of you who have given your support in past years! Please know that this is sent to you, not with expectation, but with gratitude for this opportunity to join with others in making a difference. If you are interested in supporting us, any donation amount is greatly appreciated, as are prayers and notes of encouragement (which can be posted on Asher’s page).
Whatever amount we raise will make a difference!
