Once again it is that time of year that I will be participating in the Coldest Night of The Year walk to raise money for the homeless and less fortunate among us!! I will also be remembering my beloved brother Grant who died in a tragic fire that took place in a make shift plywood shelter on January 13th, 2015. This was one of the coldest nights of the year!!
A proposed park, located at 320 Markham Rd., has officially been named after my brother Grant Faulkner. Scarborough City Councillor Paul Ainslie spearheaded the effort to name the park after my brother. The Councillor said "By establishing this park, we honor his memory and reaffirm our commitment to addressing homelessness and economic disparity. It is scheduled to be opened in the spring of 2026.
