On February 22, I’ll be walking again in the Coldest Night of the Year fundraiser to support Cornerstone Housing for Women.
As a Cornerstone volunteer and member of the Board of Directors, I’m so grateful for the support from generous donors like you throughout the year and in the previous Coldest Night of the Year walks.
There is a homelessness crisis in Ottawa. Last year, Cornerstone Housing for Women relocated and expanded our emergency shelter. At the Carling shelter, we provide over 160 women and gender diverse individuals who are experiencing homelessness with a safe, warm and supportive place to stay. But we continually have to find alternate accommodation for many more for whom we have no space. And Cornerstone Housing for Women also provides permanent supportive housing for another 150 tenants at our Maclaren, Booth, Princeton and Eccles residences.
Please sponsor me by visiting my fundraising page through the link below to give securely online and you’ll receive a charitable receipt immediately which can be used to reduce your 2024 taxes. Or register to walk yourself, join us on February 22 and ask your friends to support Cornerstone.
