It's cold out there. And this February, I'm going to do something about it.
As the Foof Pantry Coordinator at Trinity United Church I see on a daily basis how much need there is in our community!
The Coldest Night of the Year is held Canada wide, but in Collingwood, we have walked for the past ten years to raise funds for the Barbara Weider House, where the staff ,work tirelessly to give "A hand up" to disadvantaged youth in our community.
The need is great as there are 10 kids "in house”, 16 on the waiting List. Since 2017, 47 youth have been housed, 24 have been reunited with their families, 18 have graduated from Post Secondary Institutions. In addition, there are 2 Outreach Staff who provide counselling, and the necessities of Life for those youth who are living elsewhere. Together with thousands of Canadians across the country, I'll be walking and fundraising to support people and families experiencing hurt, hunger, and homelessness in my community.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart!
