It's Cold Out There—Let's Warm Hearts Together! ❄️💛

This February 22nd, I’ll be joining thousands of Canadians across the country for The Coldest Night of the Year walk, raising funds to support people and families experiencing hurt, hunger, and homelessness in our community.

In Pickering, I’m walking to support Durham Youth Services, an incredible organization partnering with youth ages 16–24 to help them achieve and maintain lasting solutions to their housing crises. Since 2008, they’ve operated Joanne’s House, Durham’s only youth-focused emergency shelter. 🏠

Every young person deserves a safe, stable place to call home. Together, we can make that possible!

💙 How You Can Help:

Donate to my walk and make a real difference in the lives of local youth.

Join the walk with me—it’s more than an event, it’s a movement and it will be fun!

Share this post to help spread the word.

Let’s stand up for youth in need and show them they are not alone. Together, we can create lasting change. 🌟

Thanks very much!
Linda

Next week this time we will be finished the walk and all warmed up. Because of your efforts some students will have the opportunity to be in a warm safe home as well. Thank you for your efforts and know that the fundraising portal will be open until March 31st. Looking forward to next Saturday.

Happy Thursday, I feel like today could be used to get ready for the walk on Feb 22nd. Just so you know there is a bit of a process if the weather is bad. More than likely the walk will still happen. If it seems that it may be uncomfortable than we may tweak the walk. If it is deemed unsafe we may need to called it off (this is very unlikely with the 1000 of walks that have happened this has only happened a few times). If there is any switching of the planned walk I will inform you by this email
