It says something to me. When I'm given something to eat, when strangers randomly give me money when I wasn't asking for it, put me up for nights when I had no where to go, help me through some of the hardest times in my younger life. It tells me to have hope, to believe in something more, in people. I have experienced great kindness, and hardships that have left me thinking I had nothing, I felt lost in the crowds, alone in my problems. Over and over I got up and beyond them because the kindness of others made me feel loved. I want to pick a few people up, I want to see that kindness carry over to those who have it harder, I want to meet people who feel like focussing that kind of energy out there. I want to see the best and kindest in the world. I want to give back what I have been given.
It's cold out there. And this February, I'm going to do something about it. Together with thousands of Canadians across the country, I'll be walking and fundraising to support people and families experiencing hurt, hunger, and homelessness in my community. Please, give generously by clicking the "Donate Now" button above. Thanks!
