Thank you for your generous donation! Together with thousands of walkers, including 89 Rotary Clubs from across the country, we supported people and families who are unhoused and/or housing insecure to access safe and warm accommodation, warm food, and community-based supports and resources.
We are thrilled to announce that the Canmore Rotary Roadrunners team raised $3,525 and we’re very grateful for the determination, passion and commitment of Hannah Meitzner, our international exchange student for her extraordinary fundraising efforts! She raised over $1,000 and donations are still coming in.
The Canmore Rotary Roadrunner’s fundraising achievement also contributed to the success of the Homelessness Society of the Bow Valley goal of $42,757 (as of Sunday Feb 23rd ) just shy of reaching their goal of $50,000 and are hopeful to reach their goal with fundraising efforts until March 7th, 2025. The impact of this fundraising event is truly significant for the HSBV, since for example the funding raised from the CNOY 2024, allowed the shelter to open this 2025 season, one month earlier on November 1st, when the weather was harsh and cold.
Additionally, the Canmore Rotary Roadrunner’s achievement also contributed to the Rotary International’s success in raising $229,782 (99% of the challenge goal of $232,000 and counting). A remarkable feat!
