It's cold out there. And this February, I'm going to do something about it. Together with thousands of Canadians across the country, I'll be walking and fundraising to support people and families experiencing hurt, hunger, and homelessness in my community. Specifically, your donation will go to Airdrie P.O.W.E.R.

Airdrie P.O.W.E.R. (Protecting Our Women with Emergency Resources) was founded in 2015 by Crystal Boys. P.O.W.E.R.'s mission from the beginning has been to bring resources, education, and support to the community of Airdrie around the issue of domestic violence. The dream of opening a shelter right here in Airdrie was shared by many, and through volunteers, board members, and many donations, P.O.W.E.R. continued to speak out about the needs and issues of domestic violence here in the city.

The day shelter had to be closed in December 2024 due to lack of funding. This is a much needed resource for women and their families.
