Hello everyone - this year the Oxford County Community Health Centre - OCCHC (where I work) has partnered with the United Way Oxford, and the County of Oxford to open the Ingersoll Light House, a transitional house that will provide people experiencing homelessness with a dignified, safe, and supportive place to live for up to a year. While living at the Light House, individuals will be supported with health and social services intended to guide them towards creating stability in their lives, and finding a permanent place to live. This year I am walking on the "Coldest Night of the Year", Saturday February 22nd, to raise funds for the Ingersoll Light House project.
