It's cold out there.
As the temperatures continue to drop, it's easy to forget that not everyone has the warmth and comfort we enjoy in our homes. In my hometown of Front Royal, VA, many individuals are cold, hungry, and struggling to survive, including those who are homeless. But on February 22, 2025, our school, Dominion Ridge Academy, will be walking together with other local teams and people from across the country in the Coldest Night of the Year (CNOY) event. We’re walking in support of HARTS (Hope And Rest Temporary Shelter), which provides a safe space for those in need. The funds raised through this walk will go toward sustaining their operations, which depend on grants and donations. You can contribute by visiting DRA's team page linked below.
