I am a survivor of domestic violence. Not the kind that leaves visible bruises, but the kind that slowly erodes your spirit. I was groomed over time to become exactly what my abuser wanted: silent, small, and compliant. I was told I wasn’t enough, over and over, until I believed it. I lost my voice. I lost my sense of self. I became a shell of the person I once was.

But I escaped. And though I am forever changed, I am no longer broken.

Today, I stand stronger. I’ve reclaimed my voice and discovered a powerful purpose: to help others who are walking the same painful path I once did. I want every survivor to know—this can happen to anyone, and it is never your fault. You are worthy. You are enough. You are a warrior.

That’s why I’m participating in the RIDE for Refuge and raising funds for two incredible charities that provide hope, safety, and freedom to people in crisis. These organizations are lifelines for those who feel trapped and alone. They are doing the work that saves lives...and they need our help.
