Happy to be part of the planning, check-in and fundraising for this wonderful event. Our goal is to get the wheels on the bus to go round & round!  Literally, the funds raised this year will go towards the purchase of a wheelchair accessible bus - this will allow more residents the opportunity to make trips away for things we all enjoy - visiting the lake front, seeing the Christmas lights, going shopping and more!

Shalom Manor has long been a part of my life - from helping my mom serve refreshments to residents (back in the 70's & 80's that was done by volunteers), visiting my great-aunts, my grandparents and other family members and friends to eventually starting to work for Shalom Manor & Gardens.

In Canada, growing older can often rob people of status, a sense of being valued, and even self-respect.
