Sooke needs a place for Seniors to gather, connect with peers and youth, learn and get the support they need to maintain their independence and quality of life. We are raising funds to build the Sooke Gathering Place which will be the home of the Sooke seniors centre. 

Senior centres are vital for communities because they reduce social isolation and combat loneliness, foster physical and mental well-being through activities, education and health resources. They serve as essential hubs that provide older adults with vital resources for healthy aging, maintain a sense of purpose, and create supportive environments that promote senior independence and active engagement with their communities.

I will be walking on Sept 20, 2025 to help raise the funds needed to Build the Sooke Gathering Place.
