In Canada, growing older can often rob people of status, a sense of being valued, and even self-respect. On September 20, 2025, I'm walking and fundraising to publicly honour and support aging friends and family. We are working to start an Abbeyfield House in Ottawa Centre, because our community wants to help our neighbours who have lived here and are finding it lonely and difficult to manage now. They prefer to stay in tis area. I expect  our walkathon will be a lot of fun too,
