I'm excited to be in the RIDE for Refuge this year again fundraising for an important cause and initiative that brings hope, safety and freedom to people fleeing persecution, wars and voilence. I am supporting Global Gathering Place, a local charity that supports refugees and immigrants in our community. Working in the newcomer/refugee serving sector and for a partner organization in Saskatoon Open Door Society, I see the importance of creating welcoming community for refugees and immigrants in our community.
