On September 20, 2025, I’ll be walking in The Grand Parade in support of Unitarian House of Ottawa — our city’s only not-for-profit and charitable retirement community.
Unitarian House is unique. We not only provide affordable apartments and retirement living under one roof, but we also subsidize residents in need so that no one has to leave because of financial hardship. Each year, we provide more than $160,000 in subsidies, and with the rising cost of living, this support is more important than ever.
That’s why I’m fundraising. Every step we take and every dollar raised will help ensure that seniors can continue to live with dignity, independence, and community.
As the Executive Director, I could not be more proud to work for and with this community. That’s why I’ve created a team called the Full Circle Walkers. I chose this name because I believe that as we grow older, we move closer to wholeness and a deeper sense of completion. Everyone deserves exceptional retirement living during their final chapters in life — and Unitarian House makes that possible.
This cause is also deeply personal to me. My own mother, who became ill at a young age, was embraced by Unitarian House and now enjoys a wonderful life here, surrounded by an amazing community. My son attends daycare right beside the home, so in many ways, three generations of my family are connected to this special place. As a daughter and as a staff member, I can honestly say it would be heartbreaking to see Unitarian House not thrive in the years to come.
👉 Please consider making a donation to my campaign. Your gift will directly support the residents of Unitarian House and help keep this vibrant, caring community strong for years to come.
Thank you for your generosity and support — together, we can make a difference!
