This Fall, I will be joining thousands of other riders, walkers, and volunteers across Canada in the Ride For Refuge. 

Over the past couple years, I have had the honour and pleasure of meeting and getting to know many new refugees to Canada. I am proud to call them friends. They have come from places such as Iran, Kenya, Uganda Ghana, and more. They are amazing, hard-working, grateful people trying extremely hard to make a go of things in their new wonderful country. Funding for them is limited. 

The Canadian government has reduced the number of refugees to settle in Canada, but the ones who have arrived need to be supported so they can acquire the skills to build buildings, teach in our universities, and, in general, support the Canadian economy.
