On Saturday, I’ll be riding my bike to raise money for a wonderful local charity, COMPASS REFUGEE CENTRE (https://compassrefugee.ca/).

The goal at COMPASS is to “help people legally navigate Canada’s refugee claim process and new life beyond refuge.”

The people who need COMPASS’s services have often lost everything – their home, their livelihood, connections with friends and family, their country.

I first became involved with COMPASS in the late 1980’s when I was helping refugees through our church.  COMPASS was invaluable to help us navigate the legal process then; they are doing even better work today.
