It's cold out there. And this February, I'm going to do something about it. Together with thousands of Canadians across the country, and here with my community, I'll be out in my little city of Salmon Arm on Feb. 28th, participating in Coldest Night of the Year. Until then I'll be working to fundraise and see Shuswap Food Action reach our BIG goal this year. Our Non-profit works really hard to support people and families experiencing food insecurity in the Shuswap but we are also working really hard to ensure that EVERYONE will have access to local food for the future.
We believe everyone deserves to have access to the best kind of food - nutritious, locally grown, raised and made food — and we take action to create programs that not only provide this quality to those who can use the hand-up but to also TEACH people how to grow, raise or make their own too! We want children nourished at school. We want seniors nourished at home. We want our WHOLE community building community around local food. And we want to be our farmers best customers so they can thrive and keep farming, doing the work they love.
We'd appreciate your support through taking part in this fundraising event by donating to our teams and walkers and/or signing up to take part too!
I'd be grateful if you can help me reach my goal which helps SFAS reach its goal too! Please, give generously by clicking the "Donate Now" button above. Thanks!
