Hello friend,
I know I've shared the work of New Journey with you before, and as Executive Director of NJCO, I see every day how critical this work is for our community — especially during these past winter months.
This season, we’ve extended our hours, operating from 6 am to 7 pm as a daytime warming center, ensuring people have a safe place to come in from the cold. Because Code Blue shelters exit guests at 6 am, the need was even more critical, especially for single women who felt particularly vulnerable at that time of day. That expansion reflects the growing need we’re seeing and our commitment to keeping our neighbors safe.
In 5 days, we are hosting our 4th annual Coldest Night of the Year 5K to support this work — from meals and outreach to laundry services, medical care, recovery services, and the additional capacity needed during extreme weather. I’ve set a personal fundraising goal of $3,000, and I’d be grateful if you would consider a contribution.
If you’re able to support our walk, I’d be so grateful. And if donating isn’t something you can do right now, that’s completely okay — sharing this, encouraging us, or simply holding this work in your heart truly means a lot.

Thank you for being part of my world and for caring about people the way you do. I’m grateful for you. 💛
With gratitude,
