A few years ago, around the holidays, I had an encounter on the TTC with a woman who was unhoused and clearly unwell. It was uncomfortable, and it stayed with me longer than I expected.
Moments like that gently pushed me toward walking in the Coldest Night of the Year this February. I’m doing this to support people in our community who are experiencing homelessness, hurt, and instability. I’ll be walking with my family beside me, aware that safety and stability are not guaranteed for everyone.
I’ve set a personal fundraising goal of $500. If you’re able to give, your support helps ensure people can access safe, supportive housing and care when they need it most.
Community care is never one person’s job.
We do this together.
