Hello!
It’s almost time to turn in our old calendars and start fresh with a new year. If you are like me, you find the time between these calendar changes increasingly short. How is it even possible that we are now past one quarter of a century into a new millennium??
It’s also a time to reflect on the year past, which for some has been one of joy and connections, while others have endured heartache and challenge. I hope you find peace and comfort in the coming months. And good health, which as we all get older seems more important, and more elusive for some.
I’m also taking this opportunity to let you know that we will once again be participating in the
Coldest Night of the Year campaign, to raise funds for
Shelterlink and
The Connection Centre in Stratford. As vice-chair of the United Way's Stratford and Area Community Committee, I know what important front-line work these two organizations provide locally. My 8 year old daughter Catherine and I have joined
TEAM HAGGIS this year. We are united by our desire to raise awareness and financial assistance for some of the most vulnerable in our community.
If you have questions please ask me, or check out United Way's website.
Thank you so much! Please give if you are able and wishing you a very Happy & Healthy New Year!
