Coldest Night of the Year: My Journey and Invitation to Support Urban Hope

Eight Years Walking for Change

This marks my eighth year participating in the Coldest Night of the Year walk. Over the past seven years, I have been deeply touched by the incredible dedication of volunteers, fellow walkers, and community members. This annual event has had a profound impact on my life, heightening my awareness of the delicate balance between having and not having. I am now more grateful than ever for the simple comforts many take for granted—hot showers, food in the refrigerator, and a safe room with a bed to sleep in.

Witnessing Transformation Through Urban Hope

Throughout my involvement, I have seen firsthand how Urban Hope truly changes lives. The essential services they offer open doors to brighter futures for those in need. By supporting the Coldest Night of the Year walk and Urban Hope, you can help make a real difference in someone’s life. Your personal or business contribution, no matter the size, could mean someone has access to food, hygiene, safety, and, most importantly, hope for something better.

Taking Action Together

The winter is harsh, and on February 28, I am joining thousands of Canadians nationwide to walk and fundraise. Our goal is to support individuals and families in our community who are facing homelessness, hunger, and hardship. I invite you to give generously by clicking the link above. Thank you for supporting this cause!

Urban Hope’s Impact in Our Community

Urban Hope is committed to providing a variety of free resources for those in need, including food, clothing, showers, laundry facilities, life skills training, mentoring, and friendship. We strive to offer daily support and to connect those we serve with the right resources to help them become healthy, empowered individuals. Our mission goes beyond feeding the poor—we aim to transform lives. We believe that meaningful change requires the collective effort of the entire community, and we invite you to join us in this important work.

No Pressure—Just Gratitude

Please know that there is absolutely no pressure to donate. In the economic realities of 2025, resources are limited and needs are many. Each of us has charities and organizations we care about, and it is not possible to support them all. I am genuinely grateful for your time and for standing with me in spirit. Your attention and support mean a great deal, and I want my network to know how thankful I am for each of you. There is never any obligation—your presence and encouragement are appreciated above all.

Best wishes and thanks.
