It's cold out there. And this February, I'm going to do something about it. Together with thousands of Canadians across the country, I'll be walking and fundraising to support people and families experiencing hurt, hunger, and homelessness in my community. Last year when I walked, it was so cold and snowy that the organizers said people didn't have to do the whole 5 km and they could stop at 2km or 3km. But not me. I said I would walk 5km in the cold and I actually walked beyond that. As the founding chair of Supportive Housing of Waterloo (SHOW), I have been so thrilled with how successful that organization has been with helping to house the homeless.
