Burr! It's cold out there! And this February, I'm going to do something about it. Together with thousands of Canadians across the country, I'll be walking and fundraising to support people and families experiencing HURT, HUNGER, and HOMELESSNESS in my community, the GTA. I am walking and fundraising in support of the amazing charity CITY STREET OUTREACH!
In the Bible, in the book of 1John 3:16-18, the following is written:
"This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down His life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers and sisters. If anyone has material possessions and sees a brother or sister in need but has no pity on them, how can the love of God be in that person? Dear Children, let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth."
It is for THIS reason that I organize our team and participate annually in the Coldest Night of the Year walk.
