It's cold out there. And this February, I'm going to do something about it. Domestic violence is one of the leading drivers of homelessness, especially for women and families. Survivors often flee abusive homes with little more than the clothes they’re wearing, and without financial resources or a safe support system, many end up relying on shelters or temporary housing. Abusers frequently use financial control, ruined credit, or isolation to limit survivors’ options, making it even harder to secure stable housing after leaving. As a result, homelessness is not just a housing issue—it’s a safety issue, and ensuring survivors have accessible, long-term housing is critical for their protection and recovery.
Together with other people across the country, I'll be walking and fundraising to support people and families experiencing hurt, hunger, and homelessness in my community. Please, give generously by clicking the "Donate Now" button above. Thanks!
