We're doing what we can with what we have - our voices!

As some of you may know, my family recently experienced a bout of homelessness. My autoimmune condition keeps me from holding a full time job, which led to us having to sell our house, and due to the lack of housing in Nova Scotia (affordable or otherwise) we lived with my parents for a whole year. 

Although we were lucky to have someone to catch us when we fell, there was nothing pleasant about living in one bedroom all together with my two kiddos in bunk beds. We searched and searched for a place, and thankfully, after a yearlong search, an Air BNB owner took pity on us and committed to give us a place to live. We are forever grateful for this and yet, there are so many people in our situation across this province. My goal is not only to raise funds, but to raise awareness and put faces to the homelessness crisis in Nova Scotia. Its to show the community what homelessness can look like, in different aspects, and to normalize talking about it.
