It's cold out there. And this February, I'm going to do something about it. Together with thousands of Canadians across the country, I'll be walking and fundraising to support people and families experiencing hurt, hunger, and homelessness in my community. Specifically, my team is fundraising for First United Church Community Ministry Society. They have many programs to support those struggling with housing instability who live on the Downtown Eastside. We are looking forward to their new building opening soon with its four-storeys of community services and an additional seven floors of below-market rental housing for Indigenous Peoples (over 100 units) which will be operated by Lu'ma Native Housing Society.
