This February, I'm walking with thousands of Canadians across the country in Coldest Night of the Year to support people and families experiencing homelessness. I'm raising funds for Milton Transitional Housing. In Halton Region, there are over 8,000 people on a waitlist for assisted housing and over 300 who are homeless. Milton Transitional Housing is doing their part to serve adults and families who need a place to live until they can do so independently. Decades ago, someone found me a place to live when I had no money, so this is my way of paying it forward. I know that you likely have other charities that you support, so I understand if you are putting your charity dollars elsewhere.
