Hi!  I'm Dale Dobroth, Board President for Open Doors and 1st time Team Captian for Coldest Night of the Year!  I have been associated with Open Doors since it's conception in 2007 and there is not much I haven't done over those 26 years.  Well that is until now.  Walking 3 miles on a cold dark February night as a way to raise funds is new to me LOL.

This event is in February for a reason because, HEY! it is cold out there!!  Maybe it is not bitterly cold today or even tomorrow but there have been and will be days when it is in the teens and even colder.  There have been and will be days when it is very windy and blowing snow, sleet or a cold soaking rain.  This February 28th I am going to help do something about it.  Together with people from our chruch team "Massanutten Cares" and our community we're walking and fundraising to support the Open Doors Mission of serving those who are unhoused.  Not just through the life threatening conditions of a harsh witnter but for the entire year, all 365 days!!
