It’s cold out there in Waterloo Region, and too many veterans are facing that cold without a safe, stable place to call home. This February, I’m walking so fewer veterans have to fight that battle alone — including an estimated 126 veterans in our own community who are experiencing homelessness or housing insecurity. And that’s just Canadian Armed Forces veterans. There are likely as many Commonwealth and Allied Forces veterans as well, and we must not forget our Treaty Allies — Indigenous veterans whose service and sacrifice are too often overlooked.
Together with thousands of people across Canada, I’m fundraising to support veterans and their families who are experiencing hurt, hunger, and homelessness in our community.
Your donation helps provide practical support like warm meals, shelter, housing help, and a place where veterans are seen, heard, and respected. If you’re able, please click “Donate Now” and give generously.
Thank you for standing with local veterans and helping them find safety, stability, and hope.
