A little walk for a big problem!
It's cold out there.
This February 28th, I'm walking in the Coldest Night of the Year - a winter fundraiser for people in my community who need my support - a little walk, really - but it's a big deal for the people we're supporting, and I want to do something about it.
As an active Bow Valley Shelter support team member for the past 5 most winter seasons in Canmore, I value the importance of its presence in our community. The vital role that it serves to provide a warm and safe space for individuals who have found themselves displaced from conventional housing is REAL.
I feel very fortunate to be working with a dedicated team of people who compassionately support our guests 24/7. This year I will be cheering for them as a sideline volunteer, while I await hip replacement surgery.
Your CNOY donation of any amount will be put to good use here in our community. Our goal is to secure a more sustainable location to serve our community year round. Thank you so much.
