My Message

Hello friends and family,

I’m reaching out to share something meaningful that I’m taking part in this winter.

On February 28, I’ll be walking 5 kilometers (3 miles) in the Coldest Night of the Year (CNOY) — a national fundraising event that brings communities together to support people facing hunger and homelessness. I’m walking to help make a difference right here in the Lynchburg area, where many individuals and families are struggling to meet basic needs. This year the funds raised will benefit Miriam's House in Lynchburg, VA.

CNOY is about more than a walk. It’s about stepping out into the cold to better understand the challenges faced by those who don’t always have shelter, warmth, or enough food. Every dollar raised helps provide meals, support services, and hope to people who need it most.

If you’re able, I would be so grateful for your support. Any donation—big or small—makes a real impact, and sharing this message also helps spread awareness.

Thank you for taking the time to read this and for supporting such an important cause. Together, we can help bring warmth, care, and compassion to our community.

With sincere thanks,

Peggy Broda
