I am taking part in a national walk and fundraising effort alongside thousands of Canadians to support families that are hungry, hurt and homless. Too many of our fellow Veterans are experiencing hurt, hunger, and homelessness. Veterans’ House Edmonton is working to change that by building permanent, affordable, supportive housing and providing the services Veterans need to regain stability, purpose, and connection.
This matters to me as a member of the Canadian Armed Forces and through my work focused on resilience and readiness. When Veterans fall through the cracks, it impacts families, communities, and the strength of the institution itself. Supporting Veterans is not charity. It is part of sustaining readiness, honouring service, and taking care of our people before, during, and after uniformed service.
