I’m walking in the Coldest Night of the Year this year to support La Lumineuse because of the incredible work my sister does with families in our community.

Hearing her talk about the mothers and children she supports — especially teenagers who might otherwise be turned away from other shelters — has shown me how important this place truly is. La Lumineuse is one of the only shelters in Montréal that welcomes mothers and their children up to 17, no matter their situation.

I may not work in this field, but I believe deeply in standing up for families who need support, safety, and compassion. Walking is my way of helping — and I’m so proud to do it alongside my sister and our team.
