On February 28, I’ll be walking in the cold, not because I have to, but because too many people do.
For one night, I’ll choose discomfort to stand in solidarity with those who face the cold, hunger, and isolation every single day. This walk is about more than winter weather, it’s about people, about dignity, and about refusing to look away when our neighbours are hurting.
Homelessness is part of a world filled with broken systems, lost community, and everyone deserves safety, warmth, and hope. Every step I take is a prayer in motion, a small act of witness, and a reminder that compassion must always be more than words.
If you’re able, please consider donating. Your gift, no matter the size, helps provide shelter, meals, support, and a sense of belonging to those who need it most at the Morningstar Mission. Together, we can turn cold streets into warmer nights, and isolation into community.
Walk with me in spirit. Give what you can. Let’s show love that shows up.
