It's cold out there. And this February, I'm going to do something about it. Together with thousands of Canadians across the country, I'll be walking and fundraising to support people experiencing hurt, hunger, and homelessness in our community.

DIALOG is honoured to be supporting Veterans House Canada in the construction of their new supportive housing building in Athlone to provide permanent, affordable housing for veterans experiencing homelessness in Edmonton.

Why this matters:

- An estimated 3,000–5,000 Canadian veterans are experiencing homelessness nationwide.

- On average, 4.4% of people experiencing homelessness in Canadian cities are veterans.

- Veterans (CAF and RCMP, per VAC’s definition) are more than twice as likely to experience homelessness compared to the general population.
