So far, it's been a very cold winter and we don't see any signs of things changing any time soon!   Last year you generously donated to Ve'ahavta through the Coldest Night of the Year campaign.  Thank you again, your support helped make a meaningful difference in many people's lives.  I hope that you will consider making a donation again this year.   The need is greater than ever.   As you may know, I am on the board of Ve'ahavta and strongly believe in the work that this organization does in combatting homelessnes.   It's two vans go out every night to deliver hot food, clothing and necessities to the homeless on the streets of Toronto - every day of the year.  In addition, Ve'ahavta runs programs, such as pre-employment programs and skills training, aimed at helping to lift people out of these conditions.  The various programs are hugely successful, and Ve'ahavta is growing them, reaching more people every year, with phenomenal success rates.   I may be unable to participate in the walk this year due to its scheduling, but I hope that does not dissaude you from donationg to this great cause, supporting people and families experiencing hurt, hunger, and homelessness in our community.
