I'm glad to be raising money to support the Samaritan Centre in Sudbury, who run both the Elgin Street Mission and the Blue Door Soup Kitchen.  Sudbury has already experienced nighttime temperatures of -35 Celcius this winter, with many more forecasted.  The Samaritan Centre provides critical infrastructure to the Sudbury community including mental health services, shower and laundry facilities, shelter space, and hot meals.  

I'll be walking in memory of my Dad, who would give to everyone asking for money on the street.  He often quoted the phrase "there, but for the grace of God, go I", reflecting on how little difference there is between us who are able to give today, and those who need our care.
