It's cold out there. And this February, I'm going to do something about it. I'm walking in The Coldest Night of the Year- a fundraising walk in support of local charities serving people experiencing hurt, hunger, and homelessness. Our local walking group has put together a team to walk in the Scarborough East location, supporting Fernie Youth Services which gives opportunities to young people that have been given up on, often based on their position in society. They provide residential, employment readiness, and community reintegration programming to at-risk youth across the Greater Toronto Area. To date, Fernie has put over 6,000 young men and women on new paths to become contributing, law-abiding citizens.
