It's cold out there. And on February 28, I'm going to do something about it. Together with thousands of Canadians across the country, and with Ashbury's Community Engagement Council, I'll be walking and fundraising to support people and families experiencing hurt, hunger, and homelessness in my community.

Here's a photo of me out having fun (safely!) on the ice at Shirley's Bay with a friend. It's cold, I am dressed appropriately for the weather - because I have the resources to - I don't take this for granted. Not everyone my age is as fortunate - for any number of reasons. I support the work that Youth Services Bureau and its sister organizations do to assist those whose circumstances require a helping hand, supports and compassion.
