Hi,
I’m walking with TRC in the Coldest Night of the Year to support Winchester Area Temporary Thermal Shelter (WATTS).
In my work in recovery, I see how closely substance use disorder and homelessness are connected. I have been immeasurably fortunate to have a network that protected me in the height(s) of my own addiction but I understand clearly - there but for the grace of God go I. Healing is nearly impossible without a safe place to sleep. Recovery requires stability, dignity, and warmth.
Addiction impacts families - and children are often the quiet, unintended victims. And in today’s economy, many of us are closer to housing instability than we think.
If you’re able, please consider donating. Every dollar helps provide warmth and hope to our neighbors.
Thank you for supporting this cause that means so much to me. 💙
