Brrr, It's cold out there! Unfortunately, I don't have the power to change the weather but I can do something to help those who have to face it every day, literally.  Together, with thousands of Canadians across the country, I'll be walking and fundraising to support people and families experiencing hurt, hunger, and homelessness in my community. Most of you who will receive this know this has long been an area of concern to me. 

My symbolic walk on the afternoon/evening of Feb. 28th, is a reminder to all of us to be grateful for adequate shelter and essentials and remind us how challenging life is without that.  Jericho Road and Capital City Mission are two agencies in Ottawa who are being supported by many of us walking and fundraising so they can continue to do the excellent work they do in supporting others.
