It's cold out there. And this February, I'm going to do something about it. Together with thousands of Canadians across the country, I'll be walking and fundraising to support people and families experiencing hurt, hunger, and homelessness in my community.
We continue to support Home Horizon and its mission to create a community where youth who are at risk of, or experiencing, homelessness is supported and empowered with the resources and skills needed to transition into adulthood. Together, we can help break the cycle of youth homelessness by providing hope, safety, and opportunities for growth. All funds raised stay right here in our community.
We are very passionate about this cause and hope you will consider helping us in our efforts to raise funds for this tremendously important work. We believe we can do our small part — and hope you will join us.
On February 28, Home Horizon and the Barbara Weider House have something to celebrate — and so could you! That evening, people in Collingwood will join thousands of others in 190 cities across Canada for The Coldest Night of the Year, a 2–5 km winter walk in support of people experiencing hunger, hurt, and homelessness. In our community, we walk in support of Home Horizon and the Barbara Weider House.
This is Home Horizon’s largest annual fundraising event, with a goal of raising $200,000, supported by 80 teams and more than 400 walkers, all working together to transform the lives of youth at risk of homelessness by helping them rebuild their lives and achieve their full potential.
The Coldest Night of the Year is something special — it’s fun, meaningful, and a little challenging. Home Horizon is also something special, and the work they do in our community is essential.
The BlueShores Cares Team raised over $20,000 in 2025. Please consider donating and/or walking with our team to help us reach our goals and support this incredible organization and the community where we live, work, and play.
