As Community Support Coordinator for Capital City Mission this event means so much to me! 

Our website explains it best "Each day people sit around tables together at our drop-in. They receive a meal, find a safe place to rest, and enjoy each other’s company. We are the neighbourhood’s living room."

Our coffee shop style drop-in centre is so special and important for people living in our community (housed and non-housed).  The need for food, togetherness, support, and safety is essential. As prices of basic items increase, the population grows, and times and circumstances of struggle remain a reality, community services and spaces like ours are vital for many people.

Our organization is small but mighty and therefore our need for funds is great.  If you can and want to help out by donating funds to this event that's fantastic!!  If this is not a possibility for you, that's also understandable.  If you are someone that could benefit from our services or services like ours in your community don't hesitate to find a community of support - it's worth it!
