My Message

Hello Friends!!

I hope you are all doing well!

I have decided to walk again this year.  I was uncertain if I was going to participate as I have been feeling a lot of hopelessness around the ongoing opiod crisis and the continued lack of affordable housing.

I have lost count of how many years we have been doing this  fundraiser for and how many thousands of dollars we have raised for this cause and yet it continues to get worse.

Nonetheless..

It's rough out there, so I'm going to continue to try and do something about it. I will be joining thousands of Canadians across the country, I'll be walking and fundraising to support people and families experiencing hurt, hunger, and homelessness in our community.

I understand that with the continued inflation times may be tight, this is also why I was almost going to skip the fundraising this year.  I am relunctant to ask anyone to donate and I completely understand if it's not in the budget.

A simple hello and perhaps words of hope to share in our collective care would also be as meaningful at this time!

Please take care of each other!

With love and respect

Please, give if you can by clicking the "Donate Now" button above. Thanks!

I also feel the weight of the world. What can we do except keep trying, drawing down into our very centre for the courage to keep putting one foot in front of the other. Thank you for this, Sandra!!
