THANK YOU FOR YOUR CONTINUED SUPPORT!
NAPA HOCKEY HEROES WEEKEND 2022
You can be part of the most successful fundraising event in Atlantic Canada.
What if you got to spend an entire weekend with your Hockey Hero, rubbing shoulders and sharing stories? What if you actually got to have them play with you and 15 of your friends in a tournament for a great cause? And to top it off, you got the full pro-hockey treatment from dressing room to center ice. Sound good? If so, that’s what the NAPA Hockey Heroes Weekend is all about.
Hitting the ice for the 10th year, the NAPA Hockey Heroes Weekend will be from June 17-19 in Moncton. The event will offer participants a chance to enjoy a recreational tournament with alumni of the National Hockey League (NHL) and Olympic Alumni.
Funds raised from the NAPA Hockey Heroes Weekend support life-saving research and programs to address heart disease and stroke in New Brunswick. To date more than $6.3 million has been raised to give Canadians longer, fuller lives. Join a team today and help make more possible.
WHERE DOES THE MONEY GO?
The Heart and Stroke Foundation of New Brunswick knows what’s needed, but the rate of action is directly impacted by the donations secured. The Foundation relies solely on the generous hearts of New Brunswickers to support the initiatives and research that continues to make life-changing discoveries. By working with New Brunswickers to confront challenges that lie ahead, we will continue to lead the way in the fight against heart disease and stroke. New discoveries, exciting innovations, life-saving research, and committed contributors have defined our past, and with your support, will continue to guide our future.
Our Foundation also works to improve the health of New Brunswickers through such programs as Heart Healthy Schools, which aims to improve school environments and make the healthiest choice the easiest and most popular choice available; CPR Anytime, where over 19,500 high school students throughout the province have been taught the lifesaving skills of CPR and Automated External Defibrillator (AED) use; and, placement of 400 publicly-accessible AEDs, which have been used to save 21 lives since the program began in 2008.
